This piece, originally a New Voices commission at Celtic Connections 2012, was inspired by the structure of a night's sleep. Within that, I have chosen to represent three main focal points: the way we always take our hopes and worries to bed with us, the different stages of sleep and the strange and vivid nature of dreams.

I hope you enjoy the music, and can relate it to your own experience of trying to find rest within our busy world of movement and thought.
